Description
BQ29700DSET is TI’s protection IC for a single-cell Li‑ion/Li‑polymer pack. It monitors cell voltage, current, and temperature and drives two back-to-back external MOSFETs to protect the cell from faults. If an overcharge, overdischarge, or overcurrent/short is detected, it disconnects the pack and then auto-retries after the fault clears (hiccup mode).
The DSET version adds a DSET pin to program the discharge current limit with an external resistor, allowing you to tailor protection to the specific pack.
